Kindles for Kids - a new way of reading!
Kindles for Kids

Using an Ereader makes life so much easier. Since we were a family of six, our parents could only take us on holiday by camping with a caravan. We all loved to read, meaning everybody had Abibliophobia – the fear of not having enough books to read! Our poor father had a hard time ensuring we didn’t overload the caravan with the weight of all those books!

Fortunately, if your children love to read, you no longer need to worry about the weight or enough space for all the books. E-readers are small and lightweight and can hold thousands of books!

Explore with me the fascinating world of Amazon Kids – the available Kindles and the book subscription service for kids in my next post.

Kindles for Kids: Should you get one for your child?

Amazon indicates the age range of Kindles for Kids as 7+. But Kindles for Kids is not suitable for picture books. These types of books are best read in physical form so that young children can enjoy the colourful illustrations and tactile experience.

I would recommend these Kindles for Kids for children from middle grade, focusing on more advanced reading with fewer pictures. In conclusion, it is an incredible tool for parents who want to #raiseareader, and bundled with the  Amazon Kids subscription is an investment in their future.

Hi! I am Susan

Welcome to my adventure

Why Read or Rot?

I have started reading at the age of four. I can remember how I often read under the covers with a flashlight when I was supposed to sleep.

During my early school years, we visited the library once a week. I couldn’t pick out my new book fast enough! By the end of the period, I would have finished it already, leaving me with nothing to read for the rest of the week!

Growing up, Fridays was the highlight of my week. Dad would pack the whole family into the car, and off we go! You guessed right – to the library! We were a family of readers.

In my adult years, I’ve developed a variety of interests like technology, photography, gardening and even writing. But reading was and will always be a part of my life!

Reading for me is like breathing. If I cannot read, my soul will quietly rot away
