Double Takedown – Summary

Mike and Jason have developed a great working relationship since they first worked together on the Righteous Assassin case. They are now married, and Mike and Michelle are godparents to Jason’s little boy, Jason Dickson, Jr.

While preparing to testify in the seemingly open-and-shut Ballet Murder case from the previous year, they investigate the murder of Kayleigh Bronson. This new case exposes Mike to an unknown world – that of social media influencers living the high life of regular drug use and parties.

A visit by a private investigator raised doubts in Jason’s mind about the guilt of the accused in the Ballet Murder case. Against the wishes of their boss, Sully, they investigate in their private time, discovering remarkable similarities between the two cases.

With so many possible suspects, will Mike and Jason manage to catch Kayleigh’s killer while working to prove the innocence of a man they believe was falsely convicted in the Ballet Murder case?

Nancy finished her cup of coffee and considered her next move. She already had one case that required her attention but perhaps she now had two.

In The Other Murder, Kevin G. Chapman weaves an intriguing plot around two murders at around the same time in Washington Square Park.

A person is defined by the actions they take and by the actions they choose not to take.

The Other Murder, Kevin Chapman, ARC Copy, Kindle location 47

Kevin G. Chapman is an attorney in labour and employment law. Still, his passion is writing fiction.

As a crime fiction writer, he often has to think and talk about how to kill people – and get away with it. On the other hand, he has to figure out how the detectives will be able to solve the case.

But the critical part of his books, for him, is the characters. He considers the story a failure if his readers don’t care about the characters.
